 The IISER (Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Admission) to sponsor Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India, high-quality scientific education, research, and training has set up 7 IISERs. 

Which are (Indian Institute of Science Education and Research) at Kolkata, Bhopal, Mohali, Berhampur, Tirupati, Pune, and Thiruvananthapuram. IISERs (Indian Institute of Science Education and Research) Aptitude examination is a national level entrance examination. The IISER (Indian Institute of Science Education and Research) held for 950 seats in seven campuses across India.

IISER (Indian Institute of Science Education and Research) Eligibility Criteria:

  • Only those candidates have to apply for IISER Admission, who was appearing in 12th class in the same year.
  • Candidates will be admitted to the 5-year BS-MS dual degree program started month of August through the following channels:
    • KVPY (Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana qualified students in SA / SX / SB and Basic Science stream.
    • JEE (Joint Entrance Examination of Indian Institutes of Technology) Channel – only those candidates who secure place in the JEE Advance Score List for admission to IITs. And candidates must be qualified with 60% marks or equivalent examination.
    • State and Central Boards Channel (SCB) – only those candidates eligible who INSPIRE scholarship by DST (Department of Science and Technology) depends on aggregate marks in 12th class are also allowed for IISER admissions after the qualify aptitude test.OBC or non-creamy candidates have to qualify with 60% marks, and physically disabled candidates have to qualified with 55% marks for all board examinations. 

Application Fees for IISER (Indian Institute of Science Education and Research):

  • For general category candidates, application fees is Rs. 1500/-
  • SC/ST candidates have to pay the application fees is Rs. 750/-
  • The application fee is non – refundable. 

IISER (Indian Institute of Science Education and Research) application Forms Details:

  • First, all the candidates fill the registration form.
  • After the registration process, generated the application number and password.
  • Then, fill the application form without any mistakes.
  • Fill all the required details.
  • After the submission of the application, candidates apply for the fee payment mode. 
  • Candidates make payment via debit card/credit card or net banking.

IISER (Indian Institute of Science Education and Research) Examination pattern:

  • Examination Mode: Offline
  • There are asked multiple-choice questions subjects of Mathematics, Physics, Biology, and Chemistry.
  • The total asked question is 60. 15 questions in each subject.
  •  Each correct answer indicates three marks, and also, negative marking will be considered. So, one wrong answer attracts -1 penalty score.
  • You have to give 180 minutes.
  • This exam is a pen-paper based test examination.
  • Final admission allocation depends on seat availability, position in the merit list, and candidate’s preferences.
